I eagerly anticipate FJ shows in my area and make plans/buy tickets the first chance I get. Now, I am heading to NYC for Xmas-NYE, and he’ll be performing in my hometown (Lawrence, KS, yes I lived across the street when he lived on Tennessee Street) while I’m gone.

Repeating my plea on FaceBook to do a show in New Orleans or the Miss. Gulf Coast – since it seems the best acts play the Gulf Coast strip and skip over New Orleans to head to Houston.

    Thanks,
    Pat

I too used to live in Lawrence and would love to catch Freedy at the Bottleneck. Lawrence is a great little town. I’m now in the Madison, WI area, another place I know is near and dear to Mr. Johnston’s heart. I’m hoping he’ll play a show or two in Madtown again soon since I missed him the last time around. Can’t wait to hear your new release, Freedy!

Please let me know as it would be such a wonderful memory to get to see you after all these years.

Thanks for playing IOTA last Sunday night, Freedy, even if you didn’t play anything from Quadrophenia. It was great to hear “While I Wait for You” once again.

We are counting on your returning to metropolitan Washington in support of your upcoming release.

Looking forward to your Pittsburgh show. I will drive 4 hours from Buffalo with my boyfriend to see you live for the first time. He used to be on Bar None Records too (he’s the 10,000 Maniacs drummer) and I’m a singer/songwriter. We know it’s impossible, but we would so love to have coffee with you in a “perfect world.” :) Your music has influenced my own, and we listen to you regularly. You’re my favorite! Best wishes, and we will see you at Club Cafe. :)

Long time fan, since Can You Fly. Like Jim who posted in January, I was also at the Club Passim show a few years ago that you never showed up for (I think we were told it was car issues). There’s a rumor you’ll be coming up to our area in June – is that true? In any event, I’m looking forward to the new CD, and hope all is well.

PS: PLEASE come to Buffalo. Best venue would be the Village Meeting House (Buffalo Friends of Folk Music). I would open for you for free (I’ve opened for everyone from Roger McGuinn and Richie Havens to Collective Soul and The Gin Blossoms) and I would have every living soul I know come to the show. People love you here–they’ll come! xoxoxoxoxo You’re my all-time favorite.
